Ronnie Lott

Ronald Manuel Lott (born May 8, 1959) is a retired American professional football player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive players in National Football League history. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lott attended the University of Southern California, where he earned All-American honors before being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 1981. During his 14-year NFL career, primarily with the 49ers but also with the Los Angeles Raiders, New York Giants, and Kansas City Chiefs, Lott established himself as an dominant safety known for his aggressive tackling, ball-hawking abilities, and leadership on defense.
