Misty May-Treanor (born August 23, 1977) is an American professional beach volleyball player widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes in her sport's history. Born Misty Elizabeth May, she began her beach volleyball career in the late 1990s and achieved her greatest success when she partnered with Kerri Walsh in 2003. Together, May-Treanor and Walsh formed an extraordinarily dominant team, winning three consecutive Olympic gold medals—in 2004, 2008, and 2012—and becoming the face of Olympic beach volleyball. Their partnership was characterized by exceptional athleticism, tactical intelligence, and an uncanny ability to perform under pressure. Beyond Olympic success, May-Treanor and Walsh won numerous World Championships and AVP Professional Tour titles, establishing themselves as a dynasty in beach volleyball.
