Michael York

Michael York (born 27 March 1942) is a British-American actor who has built one of the longest and most celebrated careers in entertainment. Born in Fulmer, Berkshire, England, he studied at Oxford University before joining the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he honed his craft in classical theatre. York achieved international stardom with his role as the bisexual cabaret performer Brian Roberts in 'Cabaret' (1972), a performance that earned him critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination. His filmography includes memorable roles in 'The Three Musketeers' (1973), 'Logan's Run' (1976), and as the deliciously villainous Nigel Powers in the 'Austin Powers' comedy franchise.
