Frederick Chopin

Frédéric Chopin (March 1, 1810 – October 17, 1849) was a Polish Romantic composer and virtuoso pianist whose innovative compositions fundamentally transformed the possibilities of the piano and influenced Western music profoundly. Born in Poland during a period of political turmoil, Chopin was a musical prodigy, displaying extraordinary talent from childhood. He studied at the Warsaw Conservatory and achieved early success as both composer and performer before eventually settling in Paris, where he became a central figure in European musical life.
