He is the founder and leader of the Derek Trucks Band, which has won multiple Grammy Awards and earned critical acclaim for blending blues, rock, and Indian classical influences. Beyond his own band, Trucks served as lead guitarist for The Allman Brothers Band, one of the most legendary Southern rock bands in American music history, and later co-founded the Tedeschi Trucks Band with his wife Susan Tedeschi, a renowned blues-rock vocalist.
