Carole Lombard

Carole Lombard (October 6, 1908 – January 16, 1942) was an American actress and comedian who became one of Hollywood's biggest stars during the 1930s and early 1940s. Born Jane Alice Peters in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she moved to Los Angeles as a teenager and began her film career in the silent era. Lombard rose to prominence in the late 1920s and early 1930s, but it was her gift for comedy that made her a true star.
