Yovani Gallardo Delgado (born February 27, 1986) is a former Mexican-American professional baseball pitcher who spent 12 seasons in Major League Baseball. Born in Nogales, Arizona, to Mexican parents, Gallardo represented an important figure in baseball's Latino community. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2003 and made his MLB debut in 2005, quickly establishing himself as a reliable starter. Throughout his career, which spanned from 2005 to 2017, Gallardo played for several teams including the Brewers, Diamondbacks, Rangers, and others. He was selected to represent the Mexican national team in the 2013 World Baseball Classic. Known for his competitive spirit and durability, Gallardo compiled over 1,200 innings pitched in his career.
