Yitzchok Perlman

Yitzchok Perlman (born August 31, 1945) is an Israeli-American violinist and conductor who stands among the most celebrated classical musicians of his era. Born in Tel Aviv, Perlman demonstrated prodigious musical talent from early childhood and studied at the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv before relocating to the United States to further his education at Juilliard School under the tutelage of Ivan Galamian. His international debut came in the 1960s, and he quickly established himself as a virtuoso performer, known for his extraordinary technical mastery, warm tone, and interpretive depth. Despite being paralyzed from the waist down due to polio contracted in childhood, Perlman has never allowed this to limit his career, performing on stages worldwide with grace and determination.
