William H. Gates III

William Henry Gates III, commonly known as Bill Gates (born 1955), is an American technology entrepreneur, software developer, and philanthropist who co-founded Microsoft Corporation, which became one of the world's largest and most influential technology companies. Born in Seattle, Washington, Gates demonstrated exceptional aptitude for mathematics and computer programming from an early age. He dropped out of Harvard University to co-found Microsoft with childhood friend Paul Allen in 1975, and together they developed the MS-DOS operating system and later Windows, which became ubiquitous in personal computing.
