Will Rogers

Will Rogers (November 4, 1879 – August 15, 1935) was an American cowboy, vaudeville performer, humorist, actor, and social commentator who became one of the most beloved public figures of the early 20th century. Born in Indian Territory (present-day Oklahoma), Rogers began his career as a trick roper in Wild West shows and vaudeville before transitioning to theater, film, and radio. He became famous for his folksy humor, sharp political commentary, and ability to comment on social issues while maintaining a lighthearted, accessible tone. Rogers appeared in numerous silent and sound films, wrote a syndicated newspaper column read by millions, and hosted a popular radio program.
