Wendel Clark (born October 25, 1966) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who became a legendary figure with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Drafted first overall by Toronto in 1985, Clark served as the team's captain from 1991 to 1994 and again briefly in 1996, leading the franchise during a period of competitive rebuilding. Known for his aggressive physical style, leadership qualities, and clutch performances, Clark was a five-time All-Star and accumulated 330 goals and 262 assists over 1,087 NHL games. He played most of his career with the Maple Leafs but also had stints with the Quebec Nordiques, New York Islanders, and Tampa Bay Lightning.
