He signed with the Montreal Expos as a teenager and spent 16 seasons in Major League Baseball, primarily with the Expos/Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Angels, and Texas Rangers. Guerrero earned the American League MVP award in 2004 while playing for the Angels. Known for his exceptional hitting ability, powerful swing, and aggressive baserunning, Guerrero compiled impressive statistics including 3,000 hits and 449 home runs over his career.
