Biography

Vicente Fox Quesada (born May 15, 1942) is a Mexican politician and businessman who served as the 62nd President of Mexico from 2000 to 2006. Born in Mexico City to a wealthy family with Spanish and Irish heritage, Fox studied agriculture at Mexico's National School of Agriculture before obtaining an MBA from Harvard Business School. He began his career as a manager for Coca-Cola before entering politics, serving as Governor of Guanajuato from 1995 to 1999. Fox's 2000 presidential election was historic, breaking the Institutional Revolutionary Party's 71-year monopoly on the presidency and marking Mexico's transition to democracy. His administration focused on economic modernization, fighting corruption, and improving U.S.-Mexico relations.
