Ty Murray (born October 8, 1965) is an American professional rodeo champion widely regarded as one of the greatest all-around rodeo athletes in history. Nicknamed the 'King of the Cowboys,' Murray won seven PRCA World Championships between 1989 and 1998, competing in bull riding, saddle bronc riding, and bareback riding. Born in Phenix City, Alabama, he began his rodeo career while still in high school and quickly rose to prominence with his exceptional skill and innovative techniques. Murray won the coveted All-Around Cowboy title a record number of times and earned multiple NFR (National Finals Rodeo) qualifications.
