Thuy Trang (December 14, 1973 – September 3, 2001) was a Vietnamese-American actress who achieved international fame as Trini Kwan, the Yellow Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the massively popular children's television series that premiered in 1993. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Trang immigrated to the United States with her family at age six, becoming a naturalized American citizen. Her role as Yellow Ranger made her a beloved figure in popular culture and inspired countless young viewers, particularly girls and Asian Americans who saw themselves represented on screen. Beyond Power Rangers, she appeared in various television shows and films during the 1990s. Thuy Trang tragically died in a car accident at age 27, but her legacy remains enduring.
