Tavaris Malachi Jackson (born April 2, 1983) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League from 2006 to 2013. Drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2006, Jackson competed for the starting position and earned the Vikings' starting role, becoming one of the first African-American starting quarterbacks in franchise history. Known for his athletic ability, arm strength, and mobility, Jackson also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks during his NFL career.
