Tauno Hankaaro
Finnish racing driver and motorsport engineer
Tauno Hankaaro (1925–1969) was a Finnish racing driver and engineer who became a notable figure in European motorsport during the post-World War II era. Based in Finland, Hankaaro competed in Formula One and participated in prestigious endurance racing events including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He was among the early Finnish drivers to compete in international Formula One championship races. Hankaaro was known not only for his driving abilities but also for his technical engineering expertise, contributing to car design and performance optimization.
