Sonny James

James Hugh Loden (May 1, 1928 – March 5, 2015), professionally known as Sonny James, was an American country music singer and actor whose career spanned over 70 years. He earned the affectionate nickname 'The Southern Gentleman' for his refined vocal delivery and sophisticated stage presence. James achieved tremendous commercial success in the 1960s and 1970s, recording numerous hit songs and becoming one of the most prolific recording artists in country music history.
