Slim Thug

Slim Thug, born Kirbston Khalil Davis (born September 8, 1977), is an American rapper, songwriter, and music producer from Houston, Texas. He emerged as a significant figure in Southern hip-hop and rap culture, known for his distinctive deep voice, laid-back delivery, and contributions to the Houston rap scene. Rising to prominence in the early 2000s, Slim Thug became known for hit singles and collaborations with other major artists, representing the distinct Houston rap sound characterized by chopped and screwed production techniques pioneered by DJ Screw. His music often reflects themes of street life, wealth, and Houston pride, earning him respect within hip-hop communities. Beyond rap, Slim Thug has worked as a music producer and has appeared in films and television. He co-founded Slim's Company Records and has remained active in the music industry for over two decades.
