Sean Payton

Sean Michael Payton (born December 29, 1956) is an American professional football coach known for his innovative offensive strategies and success as head coach of the New Orleans Saints. Born in Mayfield, Kentucky, Payton played college football as a quarterback before transitioning to coaching, where his talents as a strategist became evident. Before his tenure in New Orleans, Payton served as an offensive coordinator and assistant coach with various NFL teams, earning recognition for creative play-calling. In 2006, he became head coach of the Saints, a team recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
