Sandi Toksvig (born May 3, 1962) is a Danish-British television presenter, comedian, author, and activist who has become one of the most recognizable faces in British entertainment. She initially gained prominence as a comedian and travel show presenter before becoming the host of the BBC's popular quiz show QI (Quite Interesting) in 2016, replacing Stephen Fry. She is also well-known for hosting the Great British Bake Off from 2017 to 2021 on Channel 4. Beyond her television work, Toksvig is a prolific author of both children's books and adult fiction, with her humorous and insightful writing reflecting her intelligent and sardonic wit.
