Michael George Mulvaney (born July 21, 1967) is an American politician and government official who held multiple high-ranking positions in the Trump administration. He served as White House Chief of Staff from December 2018 to March 2020, making him one of the most influential advisors to President Trump during his final two years in office. Prior to this role, Mulvaney served as Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Acting Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), where he was instrumental in shaping the administration's regulatory and fiscal policies. Before joining the Trump administration, Mulvaney represented South Carolina's 5th congressional district in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2017, where he was known as a fiscal conservative. As OMB Director, he advocated for significant budget cuts and restructuring of federal spending. After leaving government, Mulvaney became a political analyst and continues to be a prominent voice in Republican politics.

Mick
Irish origin
“A short, punchy nickname for Michael, Irish Mícheál, or similar origins, meaning 'who is like God.' Mick carries a casual, friendly, everyman quality while maintaining Irish charm and accessibility—it's a name that feels equally at home in a pub or a boardroom.”
