Marek Hamsik

Marek Hamsik (born August 27, 1986) is a retired Slovak professional footballer who achieved legendary status at SSC Napoli, where he spent 12 seasons (2007–2019) and became the club's all-time leading goalscorer among midfielders. Playing primarily as a left-winger or attacking midfielder, Hamsik was renowned for his technical skills, work ethic, and ability to score crucial goals. He captained Napoli during some of the club's most successful modern campaigns and became a symbol of the team's resurgence in Italian football. Hamsik earned 138 caps for the Slovak national team, establishing himself as one of Slovakia's most decorated football players. After leaving Napoli, he played for Chinese Super League clubs and returned to European football before retiring.
