Luther Allison

Luther Allison (August 17, 1939 – August 12, 1997) was an American blues musician, singer, and guitarist renowned for his powerful voice and electrifying live performances. Born in Mayflower, Arkansas, Allison moved to Chicago as a teenager and became part of the vibrant blues scene of the 1960s and 1970s. He released several albums on the Delmark Records label and became known for his soulful vocals and passionate guitar playing, which drew comparisons to other blues legends. Though he achieved moderate success in the United States, Allison found greater recognition and appreciation in Europe, where he performed extensively and developed a devoted following.
