Lloyd Bridges (January 15, 1913 – March 10, 1998) was an American actor whose career spanned more than five decades, establishing him as a respected and versatile performer in film, television, and theater. Born in San Leandro, California, Bridges studied acting at the University of California and later in New York before establishing himself on stage and in early Hollywood films. His breakthrough came with numerous film roles in the 1940s and 1950s, but he achieved perhaps his greatest fame through the television series 'Sea Hunt' (1958-1961), in which he played underwater adventurer Mike Nelson.
