Liston Smith

Liston Smith (born December 7, 1937) is an American soul and funk organist renowned for his contributions to soul-jazz and his distinctive Hammond B3 organ playing. Smith gained prominence in the 1960s as a member of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, where he played alongside legendary musicians and helped define the soul-jazz sound that bridged jazz, funk, and gospel traditions.
