Larissa Latynina

Larissa Semyonovna Latynina (born 1934) is a retired Soviet gymnast who remains one of the greatest Olympians in history. Competing during the height of Cold War Olympic competition, Latynina won an extraordinary 18 Olympic medals across four Olympic Games (1956, 1960, 1964, 1968), including 9 gold medals.
