Laraine Day (September 13, 1920 – November 10, 2007) was an American actress and dancer who became a major Hollywood star during the Golden Age of cinema. Born Laraine Johnson in Roosevelt, Utah, she moved to Los Angeles as a teenager to pursue her entertainment dreams. She gained widespread recognition through her role as Nurse Mary Lamont in the popular 'Dr. Kildare' film series alongside Lew Ayres. Day appeared in numerous notable films including 'Foreign Correspondent' (1940), 'I Married a Witch' (1942), and 'The Locket' (1946). Beyond her film career, she was a pioneer in television, hosting variety shows and dramatic programs in the early days of the medium.
