Lara Gut

Lara Gut was born on April 27, 1992, in Soelden, Austria (though she represents Switzerland), and is one of the most accomplished alpine skiers of her generation. She has enjoyed a remarkably successful career in international ski racing, competing primarily in downhill and super-G disciplines where she has consistently placed among the world's best. Gut has claimed multiple World Cup victories, numerous podium finishes, and has represented Switzerland in several Olympic Games, earning medals on skiing's biggest stage. Her career has been marked by both tremendous success and significant challenges, including a severe knee injury that required surgery and rehabilitation but from which she successfully returned to competition.
