Kenny Lofton (born May 31, 1967) is an American former professional baseball player who spent 17 seasons in Major League Baseball, primarily as a center fielder. Born in East Chicago, Indiana, Lofton became one of the most dynamic offensive threats of the 1990s, renowned for his blazing speed, exceptional defensive abilities, and consistent batting average. He was selected to seven All-Star Games and won four consecutive Gold Glove Awards for his outstanding outfield defense. During his career with teams including the Houston Astros, Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, and Chicago White Sox, Lofton led the AL in stolen bases for five consecutive seasons (1992-1996), accumulating 622 steals over his career.
