Katarina Witt (born December 3, 1960) is a retired East German figure skater who achieved unprecedented success in competitive ice skating during the 1980s. She won Olympic gold medals at the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics and the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, becoming only the second woman to win multiple Olympic figure skating titles.
