Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is the 46th and current President of the United States, having taken office on January 20, 2021. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and raised in Claymont, Delaware, Biden's political career spans decades. He was elected to the U.S. Senate at age 29, becoming one of the youngest people ever elected to that body, and served Delaware for 36 years with a focus on foreign policy and criminal justice issues.
