Jevon Kearse
NFL defensive end, six-time Pro Bowl selection, Super Bowl XXXIX champion
Jevon Kearse (born July 3, 1976) is an American former professional football player who had a Hall of Fame-caliber career as a defensive end in the National Football League. Drafted 16th overall in the 1999 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, Kearse quickly established himself as one of the league's most dominant pass rushers. During his 12-year NFL career, he earned six Pro Bowl selections and was named First-team All-Pro five times. Kearse was instrumental in the Titans' surprising run to Super Bowl XXXIV in the 1999 season, displaying the speed and power that made him a terror for opposing quarterbacks. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as a free agent in 2004 and helped lead them to Super Bowl XXXIX, though the team fell short against the New England Patriots. Known for his relentless work ethic and consistency, Kearse finished his career with 117.5 sacks, ranking among the all-time greats at his position. His impact on defensive football in the late 1990s and 2000s remains significant, and he is frequently discussed as an overlooked candidate for Pro Football Hall of Fame consideration.
