Jessee Lyman Hurlbut

Jessee Lyman Hurlbut (1838–1915) was an American Methodist clergyman, educator, and author known primarily for his influential biblical education work. Born in New York, Hurlbut devoted much of his life to religious education and pastoral work within the Methodist Church. His most enduring legacy is 'Hurlbut's Story of the Bible' (1904), a comprehensive narrative retelling of biblical stories designed for children and general readers.
