Ivory Joe Hunter

Ivory Joe Hunter (October 10, 1911 – November 8, 1974) was an influential American blues and rhythm and blues musician whose career spanned several decades and helped bridge the gap between traditional blues and modern R&B. Born in Kirbyville, Texas, Hunter developed his craft as a pianist and vocalist, eventually achieving significant commercial success in the 1950s.
