Hyman Rickover

Admiral Hyman George Rickover (January 27, 1900 – July 8, 1986) was an American naval officer and engineer who became known as the 'Father of the Nuclear Navy' for his instrumental role in developing the first nuclear-powered submarine, the USS Nautilus, commissioned in 1954. Born in Russian-Jewish immigrant parents in New York, Rickover displayed exceptional aptitude in engineering and naval technology from his early career.
