Howie Dorough (born August 22, 1973) is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer who gained international fame as a member of the Backstreet Boys, arguably the most successful boy band in music history. Born in Orlando, Florida, Dorough was recruited to join the group in 1993 when he was just 20 years old, alongside Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson. As the group's tenor vocalist, Dorough contributed to the Backstreet Boys' massive success throughout the 1990s and 2000s, helping the band sell over 100 million records worldwide.
