Guido Reni

Guido Reni (November 4, 1575 – August 18, 1642) was an influential Italian Baroque painter whose work epitomized the grace and refinement of High Baroque art. Born in Bologna, Reni trained under the Carracci family, masters of the Baroque movement, and quickly established himself as one of Italy's most sought-after artists. He created numerous religious commissions for major Italian churches and chapels, including altarpieces of exceptional spiritual intensity and technical mastery.
