Thinking about the name
Gordy
Scottish origin
“A casual, friendly diminutive of Gordon, Gordy offers the same Scottish-rooted meaning of 'spacious fort' or 'bold' in a more approachable form. The -y ending creates an informal, affable quality perfect for parents seeking a name that feels both traditional and down-to-earth. It conveys warmth without formality.”
