Gianna Maria Onore Bryant (2006–2020) was an American basketball player and the daughter of NBA legend Kobe Bryant. Often called 'Gigi' by family and friends, she demonstrated exceptional talent and passion for basketball from a young age, showcasing skills and athleticism that suggested a promising future in the sport. Gianna played for the Chatsworth Sierra Canyon School and was ranked among the top middle school basketball players in the country. She was known for her competitive spirit, technical proficiency, and dedication to improving her game, often training alongside her father, who was deeply involved in her development. On January 26, 2020, Gianna tragically lost her life in a helicopter crash alongside her father Kobe Bryant, her mother Vanessa's sister, and seven others near Calabasas, California.
