Garrison Heart (born March 23, 1979) is a former professional football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons. Beginning his career with the Arizona Cardinals in 1997, Hearst went on to play for multiple teams including the Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers, and Denver Broncos. He is best known for his time with the 49ers, where he established himself as one of the league's most dominant ground game players. Hearst was selected to the Pro Bowl three times and earned All-Pro honors multiple times during his career. Known for his powerful running style, low center of gravity, and ability to break tackles, Hearst accumulated over 13,000 rushing yards during his NFL career. He was particularly memorable for his performances in playoff games, including a legendary 96-yard touchdown run in a playoff game against the Green Bay Packers in 1998.
