Gabe Saporta

Gabe Saporta (born July 14, 1984) is an American musician, songwriter, and producer who rose to prominence as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of Cobra Starship. The band achieved significant commercial success in the mid-2000s with their energetic blend of electronic rock, pop punk, and dance influences. Before forming Cobra Starship, Saporta was the bassist for the post-hardcore band Midtown. His songwriting style, characterized by witty lyrics and infectious hooks, helped define the sound of a generation of pop-punk and emo-influenced rock music. Beyond his work as a performer, Saporta has been involved in music production and has collaborated with various artists across different genres. The band's hit songs like 'Snakes on a Plane (Shut Your Mouth)' and 'Good Girls Go Bad' (featuring Leighton Meester) became anthems of the late 2000s. Cobra Starship disbanded in 2013 but reunited for performances in subsequent years, maintaining a dedicated fanbase among millennials who grew up with their music.
