Fritzi Scheff (1879–1954) was an Austrian-American actress, singer, and operetta performer who achieved stardom on Broadway during the early twentieth century. Born Friederike Scheff in Vienna, she trained at the Vienna Conservatory and initially performed in European opera houses before immigrating to the United States. Her breakthrough came in Victor Herbert's operetta 'Mile. Modiste' (1905), where she introduced the popular song 'Kiss Me Again.' Her performance was electrifying and made her an immediate celebrity, establishing her as one of Broadway's leading ladies. Scheff was known for her beauty, charm, and exceptional vocal talent, captivating audiences throughout the 1900s-1920s.
