Fawn Hall

Fawn Hall (born 1959) is an American former White House secretary who gained prominence during the Iran-Contra affair, one of the most significant political scandals in late 20th-century American history. Hired as an administrative assistant to Oliver North in the National Security Council during the Reagan administration, Hall had access to highly classified information regarding the secret arms-for-hostages deal with Iran and the illegal funding of Contra rebels in Nicaragua. When the scandal began to unravel in 1986, Hall became central to efforts to conceal evidence, participating in the destruction of crucial documents by shredding them to prevent congressional investigators from discovering the full extent of the illegal activities. Her testimony before Congress and her eventual cooperation with investigators provided key evidence in the unfolding scandal.
