Ervin Johnson

Ervin 'Magic' Johnson Jr. (born August 14, 1956 – present), commonly known as Magic Johnson, is an American retired professional basketball player, entrepreneur, and former team president, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history. Born in Lansing, Michigan, Johnson led Michigan State University to the NCAA National Championship in 1979 before being selected first overall in the 1979 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. Over his 13-season NBA career, he won five championships (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988), earning three NBA MVP Awards and 12 All-Star selections.
