Scottish origin
“A Scottish surname-turned-given name with roots in the Lowlands, Doak carries a sturdy, no-nonsense quality. The name evokes windswept moors and practical Highland heritage, making it appeal to parents seeking something distinctly Scottish but less common than traditional choices like Duncan or Angus.”
