Deryl Strawberry

Deryl Eugene Strawberry (born March 12, 1962) is a retired professional baseball outfielder who played 18 seasons in Major League Baseball, primarily for the New York Mets. A highly talented athlete with tremendous potential, Strawberry was a four-time All-Star and World Series champion (1986 with the Mets). He was known for his powerful left-handed swing, speed, and defensive capabilities. Strawberry played for the Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, and other teams throughout his career. Despite his on-field achievements, his career was significantly hampered by injuries, substance abuse issues, and personal controversies. After retirement, Strawberry struggled with various challenges but eventually found redemption through faith and recovery.
