Demian Bichir Nájera (December 1, 1972 – present) is a Mexican and American actor who has become one of Latin America's most prominent film and television performers. Born in Havana, Cuba, to a Mexican family, Bichir grew up in Mexico City where his parents were both actors, providing his initial inspiration for the profession. He began his career in Mexican television and film before transitioning to international cinema.
