Delonte Shawn West (born July 26, 1983) is an American former professional basketball player who had a nine-year career in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted 24th overall in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics and went on to play for multiple NBA teams including the Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, and Los Angeles Lakers. Known for his exceptional defensive abilities and basketball intelligence, West was a versatile guard capable of playing both point guard and shooting guard positions.
