Claudia Cardinale (born April 15, 1938) is an Italian-Tunisian actress who became one of the most celebrated international film stars of the 1960s and 1970s. Born in Tunis to an Italian father and Tunisian mother, she grew up in both North Africa and Italy. She rose to prominence through her work with acclaimed director Federico Fellini, appearing in 'La Dolce Vita' and '8½,' which helped establish her as a serious dramatic actress. Her striking beauty and versatile talent led to roles in major Hollywood productions, most notably as Ramona Valdez in 'The Magnificent Seven' (1960) and as the female lead in 'The Pink Panther' (1963).
